COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) - Authorities in Lowndes County say a West Point woman was booked Wednesday with witness-tampering.

WTVA-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1qNO7KE) 49-year-old Dottie Taggart was arrested after investigators say she asked a victim in a case involving her brother to change her testimony.

Taggart’s brother, 51-year-old Todd Sanders, was arrested in August after an investigation into a break-in at the home of a former girlfriend.

A judge ordered Sanders and his family not to contact the victim.

Lowndes authorities say Taggart violated that order in phone calls to the victim.

It was not immediately clear whether she has an attorney.
