LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. (AP) - A23-year-old man who was shot in the arm by state police has pleaded guilty to trying to hit officers with his minivan.

The Utica Observer-Dispatch reports (https://bit.ly/1qHUiAY ) that Kyle Edick pleaded guilty in Herkimer County Court to two counts of attempted second-degree assault on Thursday in connection with an incident last November.

Edick faces two to four years in state prison when he is sentenced Oct. 29. It will be part of the five years he will also receive for attempted criminal sale of cocaine.

Prosecutors say police stopped Edick’s vehicle based on drug warrants. As the officers got out of their vehicles, Edick backed into one of the cars, then started to drive off. One officer fired two rounds at Edick’s vehicle, with one round hitting his arm.
