NEW YORK (AP) - The Metropolitan Opera this season is offering $25 rush tickets online for some of its priciest seats.

Opera lovers will no longer have to stand in line. The tickets will be distributed by a lottery system.

Buyers will be able to get two tickets after entering on the Met’s website the evening before a performance. They will be notified via email by noon on the day of the performance.

According to The New York Times (https://nyti.ms/1nQeaxm ), about 100 tickets will be available for each regular performance.

The priciest tickets range from $105 to $320.
