PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A 5-year-old boy being treated for E. coli infection complications has been transferred to a Seattle hospital and is listed in satisfactory condition.

Seattle Children’s Hospital spokesman Andreas Aarsvold confirmed Friday that Brad Sutton has been admitted. The boy was transferred from a Tacoma hospital where he had last been listed in serious condition.

During a Labor Day weekend gathering on the Oregon coast, the little boy played with a family friend, a 4-year-old Oregon girl who died after being diagnosed with an E. coli infection.

The source of those infections has not been determined.
