LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska State Patrol has seized more than 90 pounds of marijuana following a traffic stop on Interstate 80.

Authorities say a trooper pulled over a speeding vehicle Thursday as it was traveling eastbound in Seward County. A probable cause search led to the discovery of the marijuana, which was in a duffel bag and several trash bags in the trunk.

The driver, 23-year-old Derek C. Smith, of Roanoke, Virginia, was arrested. He was taken to the county jail and faces a charge of marijuana possession with intent to deliver.

Court records do not list an attorney.
