ALVA, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has joined the search for a missing Alva man.

The OSBI said Friday that the Alva Police Department had asked the agency to open a full investigation into the suspicious disappearance of Alva resident Travis Murrow. OSBI agents had been assisting police department with interviews prior to the request.

Murrow’s last communication was on the evening of Aug, 24. The 40-year-old Murrow was last seen in Enid. His pickup truck was found in Dewey County several days after his disappearance.

On Thursday, several OSBI agents spent the day flying in the agency’s airplane and driving along roads in Blaine, Major and Dewey counties searching for any clues to Murrow’s whereabouts.
