DUNCAN, Okla. (AP) - A 26-year-old Oklahoma man has been sentenced to 72 years in prison after pleading guilty to home invasion charges.

John Oxford was sentenced Thursday for the 2013 Comanche break-in. He pleaded guilty on July 10 to charges including assault with a dangerous weapon and burglary.

Authorities say Oxford and co-defendant Winston Walters broke into a rural Oklahoma home and assaulted the homeowners. They say the men stole money and guns after tying up a woman and shooting a man.

Walters is known for catching catfish with his hands because he starred in a canceled noodling reality show on National Geographic Channel called “Mudcats.” He is scheduled to stand trial in October.
