SAGINAW, Mich. (AP) - Police in Saginaw say a 15-year-old boy has died after being shot in the chest on the city’s south side.

The Saginaw News reports (https://bit.ly/1pcLkXm ) police responded Thursday to the reported shooting and found Deleonce Williams, who was taken from the scene by ambulance and later was pronounced dead. Detective Sgt. Reggie Williams says a male suspect was taken into custody.

Details about what prompted the shooting weren’t immediately released.

Police tape was stretched around the home and blood was seen on a wall inside the home. Saginaw police and state police are investigating.
