SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A Sioux Falls police officer is in the hospital after colliding with a car while on a motorcycle.

The Argus Leader reports (https://argusne.ws/1sBSABS ) the officer appears have non-life threatening injuries. The accident occurred about 10:30 a.m. on Friday east of downtown Sioux Falls.

A man was driving a Ford Taurus northbound on Franklin Avenue. As he turned left at the 10th Street intersection he collided with the officer riding south.

Lt. Troy Lubbers of the Sioux Falls police says the man will likely face charges of failure to yield.
