GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - A Greeley, Colorado, veterinarian accused of treating people has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges.

The Greeley Tribune (https://bit.ly/X6MKvX ) reports that Fran Freemyer pleaded guilty to two counts of unauthorized practice.

A police report says Freemyer initially denied the allegations, but later told police he used an experimental cancer treatment cream on a man’s foot.

Several other people said they were also treated by Freemyer, including a woman who said a cream applied to her face and chest caused a painful sensation and left scars.

He’s scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 27.
