ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta officials say more than 100 TV, commercial and film productions were filmed in the city in the last year.

The Mayor’s Office of Entertainment just wrapped up its first year of operation, and Mayor Kasim Reed says the office has enhanced the city’s ability to attract world-class productions.

The office is charged with streamlining the city’s permitting process for film productions, facilitating employment of local talent, creating educational and training opportunities and protecting the interests of residents and business affected by film productions.

In addition, officials say more than 580 permits were issued which generated about $500,000.

The list of films and TV shows produced in the city include “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” ”Fast and Furious 7” and “The Walking Dead.”
