FALLON, Nev. (AP) - Police are searching for burglars who broke into the home of a Churchill County sheriff’s deputy and made off with his pistol, badge and police equipment.

Fallon police say a police radio taken from the home has been recovered, but the deputy’s department-issued pistol, badge and other equipment are missing.

Fallon police will handle the investigation, even though the deputy’s home is located outside the city.

The deputy’s name was not released.
