MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Eight people have been arrested in connection with several burglaries that occurred throughout rural Ward County.

Sheriff’s Capt. Robert Barnard says the department has received numerous reports of thefts and burglaries at farmsteads, businesses and homes since May.

Barnard says the arrestees are facing multiple charges including theft of property, drug possession and theft of a motor vehicle.

Deputies have recovered $30,000 in stolen property including guns and vehicles. Drug paraphernalia and over 500 pounds of scrap copper wire have also been seized.

The Minot residents who were arrested are: 33-year-old James Hollis, 35-year-old Angelique Arnette, 32-year-old Jade Backman, 31-year-old Tracy Gamble, 34-year-old Delwin Irwin Jr., and 30-year-old Bryan Loran.

Twenty-five-year-old Joseph Lindsey and 23-year-old Jacob Rebel, for whom authorities don’t have addresses, have also been arrested.

It’s unclear whether the individuals have attorneys.
