HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Representatives for Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy say he’s traveling to California for political fundraising, but are not providing any details of the trip.

Andrew Doba, the Democratic governor’s official spokesman, said Malloy would be in California on Thursday and Friday. He referred any questions about the visit to the Connecticut Democratic Party.

Devon Puglia, the party’s spokesman, only confirmed Malloy would be in The Golden State for fundraising. He would not provide any further information, including where in California Malloy would be. He said the party does not comment on fundraising.

Malloy traveled to California for a weekend fundraising trip in October. He helped generate funds for both the state party and the national Democratic Governors Association.

Malloy is in a close re-election battle against Republican Tom Foley.
