WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police are looking for a man who stole two pieces of jewelry valued at $8,000 from a Wilmington store.

Troopers say a man walked into Continental Jewelers last week and asked a clerk to show him several pieces that were on display.

Police say the man said he wanted to buy some of the jewelry, and as the clerk was preparing the items for sale, the man hid two pieces worth $8,000.

Officers say the man then walked out of the store without making a purchase.
