OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma City Thunder have announced the hiring of former NBA player Michael Cage as an analyst on the team’s broadcasts.

Cage joints play-by-play announcer Brian Davis and sideline reporter Lesley McCaslin on the broadcast team. Cage replaces Grant Long - who resigned earlier this year.

Cage is a native of West Memphis, Arkansas, who played collegiately at San Diego State and was a first-round draft pick of the Los Angeles Clippers in 1984. He spent 15 seasons in the NBA with the Clippers, Seattle, Cleveland, Philadelphia and New Jersey.

Cage has worked as a TV analyst for the Memphis Grizzlies and others and has worked as a high school and AAU basketball coach and as a guest coach in the NBA Summer League.
