CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Police have released the name of an elderly woman who died after she was struck by a car while walking across an intersection in Casper.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1r0AIjy ) 84-year-old JoAnne Robinett was hit at about 7 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of 15th and Pinyon streets. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Investigators say the Casper woman was not walking in a marked intersection, and the rising sun might have affected the driver’s vision.
