LEBANON, Ohio (AP) - Bail for a man who authorities suspect of killing his estranged girlfriend’s son in Kentucky, kidnapping her and then killing her on a highway in Ohio has been set at $1 million.

Court records show bail was set Thursday for 41-year-old Terry Froman at his arraignment on an aggravated murder charge in Lebanon Municipal Court in Ohio. The records don’t list an attorney for him.

Froman, of Brookport, Illinois, was taken into custody Friday on Interstate 75 in Warren County, Ohio. Authorities say he had a self-inflicted gunshot wound and 34-year-old Kim Thomas’ body was in his car.

Authorities in Graves County in Kentucky say Froman is charged with murder there in the slaying of Thomas’ teenage son and with kidnapping Thomas from her Mayfield, Kentucky, home.
