OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma Historical Society and the Oklahoma Genealogical Society along with Ancestry.com are presenting two days of genealogy and Native culture in November.

The event, called Ancestry Day, will showcase the history and culture of Oklahoma. On Nov. 7, participants can choose between three bus tours exploring historic downtown Guthrie, Chickasaw Country or downtown Oklahoma City. Sessions will also be offered on historic newspapers, Oklahoma and Indian Territory history and land records.

On Nov. 8, classes will show participants how to use Ancestry.com to trace their genealogy.

The Oklahoma Department of Tourism is sponsoring Ancestry Day. Registration for the main event is $40. Certain activities may cost more.
