CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The coroner has identified a man who was found dead in a pond in a golf course in suburban Charleston.

The Charleston County Coroner’s office tells local media outlets that the man found early Wednesday afternoon at the Shadowmoss Golf Course has been identified as 67-year-old Robert O’Donnell of Charleston.

Deputy Coroner Kelly Kraus says the man was dead about an hour before he was found by a maintenance worker. There was no sign of trauma to O’Donnell’s body.

Authorities are not sure what caused his death but say that foul play is not suspected.
