FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - Sebastian County authorities say a body found in the Arkansas River has been identified as that of a missing Barling man.

Lt. Philip Pevehouse said Thursday that the Arkansas State Crime Lab identified the body as that of Jamison Boyster. A suspected cause of death was not released.

The body was found Sept. 11 by a riverboat captain in the Arbuckle Island area and was recovered by sheriff’s office officials.

Pevehouse says Boyster had been reported missing by his family on Sept. 9.
