FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies have arrested and charged a Fayetteville woman with running an illegal video gambling operation.

The Fayetteville Observer reported (https://bit.ly/1BPqRAH) that a Cumberland County grand jury indicted 59-year-old Sandra Breeden Starr this week.

Sheriff’s deputies said Starr owned and operated gambling houses in at least four locations in the county. They say she paid cash winnings to players of video poker and other gambling machines.

It was not clear if Starr has an attorney.
