BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A 44-year-old man from Haughton has claimed the $1 million Powerball prize from the Sept. 10 drawing.

The Times reports (https://bit.ly/1qZZ3WK ) Louis Sims Jr.’s ticket matched all five of the white-ball numbers drawn, but missed the red Powerball number. He received $700,000 after federal and state taxes were withheld Tuesday.

The winning numbers were: 2, 14, 39, 40, 43 and Powerball 13.

Raceway #714 in Bossier City, where Sims purchased the winning ticket, will get a one-time selling bonus of $10,000, which is 1 percent of the prize.
