LeBron James‘ hairline took on a life of its own on the Internet after he introduced a new line of shoes Tuesday night at the Nike headquarters in Oregon.

The NBA star’s receding hairline had been a topic of ridicule for the last several years, with even the balding man himself cracking a joke or two at his own expense.

“Had a dream my hairline was back!” he once tweeted, Complex reported.

But people took notice when they were suddenly deprived of Mr. James‘ growing forehead as he unveiled his new LeBron 12 line of shoes.

“I don’t know if I can live a life without LeBron hair jokes,” wrote one Twitter user under the handle @dances.

LeBron ain’t gotta wear a towel as a headband anymore since he got his hairline reconstructed,” wrote @StephGhost.

“So LeBron apparently joining the Hair Club for Men,” joked @ScottCottos.

Others suggested the culprit may have been plugs, Propecia, or even spray-on hair. Mr. James has yet to unveil his secret.
