LOS ANGELES (AP) - A Long Beach man who pimped two women and kidnapped them when they tried to leave has been sentenced to nearly 47 1/2 years in prison.

Lebrette Winn also was ordered Thursday to register as a sex offender.

Authorities say Winn convinced the women, ages 18 and 20, to work as prostitutes, raped one, and kidnapped both after they eventually left. He had his pimp name and a dollar sign tattooed on one woman’s forehead as punishment.

The women escaped from a locked car last year and ran to a Good Samaritan, who took them to police.

Winn was convicted last month of pimping, rape, kidnapping and other crimes.

An acquaintance of Winn’s, Eric Avery, awaits sentencing for pimping a 16-year-old girl who was found in his hotel room.
