MILL CITY, Ore. (AP) - A 33-year-old Mill City lumber mill worker was killed late Wednesday when a wood press he was repairing activated and crushed him.

Bryan Dodge, a millwright, was killed at about 11 p.m. at the Freres Lumber mill.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death, along with Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Working in a lumber mill is among the most dangerous occupations in the U.S., according to OSHA data.
