JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - Snow King Resort in Jackson is on schedule to have its new snowmaking infrastructure ready to go as soon as Halloween.

Officials say 21 new snow-making machines have been delivered to the ski area’s base and will start to be installed this week.

Along with other improvements, such as new lights and water pipes, the new infrastructure will allow artificial snow to be spread on the slopes of the 7,808-foot Snow King Mountain.

The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports (https://bit.ly/1s8zh5k ) that work has also begun to make way for a new terrain park.

The project is being fund by money raised locally and by a $1.5 million state grant and loan.
