CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A trial date has been set for a man accused driving drunk and causing a fatal crash near Casper.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://goo.gl/CRgQU4 ) Tracy Matekovic is free on $15,000 bond and is scheduled to go to trial Oct. 13 for the crash that killed 38-year-old Christopher Sanders.

Investigators say Matekovic was driving on the wrong side of U.S. Highway 20/26 on Dec. 9 when he crashed his truck into Sanders’ car about eight miles west of Casper. Sanders died at the scene.

Matekovic, who has three previous DUI convictions, is charged with driving under the influence resulting in serious bodily injury, as well as several misdemeanors.

Both Matekovic and Sanders are from Casper.
