MOSES LAKE, Wash. (AP) - A Grant County sheriff’s spokesman says an 80-year-old man has died after his small fishing boat capsized on Potholes Reservoir near Moses Lake, Washington.

Spokesman Kyle Foreman said Tommie Chapman of Moses Lake was fishing with a friend Thursday when the accident dumped them both in the water in a remote area at the north end of the reservoir. Chapman was not wearing a life jacket and did not resurface. Firefighters later recovered his body.

An autopsy is planned.

Chapman’s friend, who is also in his 80s, made it to shore.
