GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Western Michigan authorities have released the name of a 58-year-old man they say was killed when a drunk woman drove her SUV east on westbound Interstate 96, hitting his car head on.

The crash happened about 3 a.m. Sunday in Kent County’s Grand Rapids Township, near Grand Rapids. Authorities say the man’s car was engulfed in flames, while the woman was pulled alive from her burning vehicle.

The Grand Rapids Press (https://bit.ly/1uXxhKf ) says the victim was Gregory G. Johnson of Grass lake.

State police say the woman was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s hospital. They say they’ll send a report on the investigation to county prosecutors.
