ALBION, N.Y. (AP) - A 62-year-old man has been found guilty of stabbing his girlfriend to death at their western New York home last year.

Local media report that a jury in Orleans County Court deliberated for about three hours Wednesday before finding Frederick Miller guilty of second-degree murder for killing Rachel Miller.

Authorities say Frederick Miller attacked Rachel on the morning of March 4, 2013, as she got out of the shower. He stabbed her numerous times, then hit her with a sign post after she ran out of their home in Carlton, 30 miles west of Rochester.

Her body was found along a road by a school bus driver picking up students.

Miller admitted during testimony that he killed his girlfriend. He faces 25 years to life when he’s sentenced on Oct. 8.
