BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) - New charges have been filed against an inmate who escaped a low-level corrections facility in northwest Ohio and a woman suspected of helping him hide.

Police say 24-year-old Jhon Rosado escaped from the NorthWest Community Corrections Center in Bowling Green by climbing over a fence Wednesday evening. He was charged with escape Friday in Bowling Green Municipal Court.

Officers found Rosado Thursday evening in the attic of the apartment of 29-year-old Bobbie Merritt. Police say she was the victim in the domestic violence crime for which Rosado had been incarcerated.

Merritt has been charged with obstructing justice, a fifth-degree felony.

Police say Rosado spoke to Merritt on the phone Wednesday from the corrections center and told her he intended to escape.

Messages were left for their attorneys.
