ERIE, Colo. (AP) - Grief counselors are meeting with students who lost three friends in a small plane crash north of Denver over the holiday weekend.

Sunday’s crash near the Erie Municipal Airport killed real estate lawyer Oliver Frascona, his girlfriend, Tori Rains-Wedan, and her three sons -15-year-old Mason Wedan and 11-year-old twins Austin and Hunter.

The Daily Camera (https://bit.ly/1A0SdkD ) reports that Frascona trained hundreds of Denver area real estate brokers on real estate law while Rains-Wedan owned a company that offers education classes to real estate agents.

Boulder Valley School District spokesman Briggs Gamblin says counselors will be available at four Broomfield schools where the boys played sports and had friends.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating why the Piper PA-46 airplane crashed near the runway while landing.
