BEAVERTON, Ore. (AP) - Fire officials say an early morning fire destroyed two units of a four-unit apartment building in the Portland suburb of Beaverton and damaged two others. Police managed to remove one man who had been refusing to leave an apartment even as it filled with smoke and the fire burned next door.
Four adults and a child were displaced by the blaze early Tuesday morning at the Kimberly West Apartments.
Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue spokeswoman Cassandra Ulven says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
