SAN ANGELO, Texas (AP) - A West Texas man has been charged with murder after investigators say he broke into a home and stabbed a 5-year-old girl in the neck.

San Angelo police early Tuesday responded to two 911 calls to report alleged domestic violence at a house.

Officers discovered the injured child, Naiya Villegas, and two more female victims, Villegas’ 33-year-old mother Tanya Bermea, and Bermea’s 62-year-old mother, Jesusita.

All three were hospitalized and Villegas later died. Mother and grandmother had non-life threatening injuries.

Tom Green County jail records show 23-year-old Isidro Miguel Delacruz Jr. of San Angelo being held without bond on a murder charge.

Police say he was Tanya Bermea’s ex-boyfriend and forced his way into the home through a bathroom window.

Delacruz was not related to Villegas.
