GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A change of plea hearing is scheduled Thursday for a Mississippi woman indicted in a federal case of firearms stolen from a licensed gun dealer’s home.

Jessica Mariana Romero is charged with misprision of felony in a bill of information. The charge means being aware a crime was committed and failing to report it to authorities.

Prosecutors allege the 25-year-old Romero knew that at least 48 weapons were stolen from a firearms dealer’s Moss Point home in May and participated in the bartering and sale of them.

Authorities say 12 of the weapons were fully automatic machine guns. They say some of the guns were recovered at homes in Gautier. Most are still on the street.

Seven others were charged in the case. Trials are pending.
