PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police have arrested a 55-year-old man in the shotgun shooting of his former girlfriend in her home.

According to police, Shannon Leshin on Saturday was found face-down in a pool of blood on the floor of her bedroom by her college-age daughter and another person who lived in the home.

Police later arrested Gary Lee Michaels, who made an initial court appearance Sunday. Court records don’t list an attorney for him.

A police affidavit said investigators were told the Michaels was trying to rekindle his relationship with Leshin but that he had complained that she was seeing somebody else.
