TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Tulsa police have identified a 45-year-old man who was shot to death Tuesday morning by police officers.

Police spokeswoman Jillian Roberson says officers responded to a home Tuesday morning after receiving a call that a man had stabbed himself. She says police found the man standing in the driveway holding a knife.

Roberson says the man ignored instructions to drop the knife, and three officers opened fire. She says he was shot multiple times after officers became concerned he would approach nearby businesses.

The man was transported to St. John Medical Center, where he later died. Tulsa police have identified him as 45-year-old Mark Allen Kelley.

Roberson says the officers are expected to be placed on routine administrative leave while an investigation is conducted. Their names have not been released.
