HARROLD, S.D. (AP) - The South Dakota Pulse Processors plant near Harrold plans to employ 14 people initially and possibly expand to as many as 21.
The $4.5 million plant will process pulse crops such as lentils, field peas and chickpeas. CEO and President Steven Brown tells the Capital Journal (https://bit.ly/1plrsRL ) that production employees will earn $15 an hour, with managers earning more.
The company plans to start construction of the plant this fall and begin processing yellow field peas early next year.
