HYATTSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Residents in some parts of Prince George’s County are being advised to boil their water before drinking it.

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission said in an email late Tuesday that a 24-inch water main broke on Tanglewood Drive in Hyattsville.

The commission says crews are closing valves to isolate the broken section of water main.

The advisory, which will remain in effect for about 48 hours, applies to residents in Hyattsville, Bladensburg, Mount Rainier, Cheverly, Chillum, Edmonston, Landover Hills, Glen Arden, Fairmount Heights, Seat Pleasant and Brentwood.
