MONUMENT, Colo. (AP) - Two Monument teens killed in a single-vehicle crash in Black Forest are being remembered as personable, popular and talented.
Beau Beiger and Ryan Pappas, both seniors and athletes at Palmer Ridge High School, were killed early Monday when they Mini Cooper convertible they were riding in ran a stop sign, went airborne and crashed into a grove of trees.
The Gazette (https://bit.ly/1qwXyhq ) reports that dozens of students, teachers and parents held a vigil at a practice field near the school to remember them Monday night.
Beiger was on the wrestling team and Pappas played baseball.
A classmate, 17-year-old Mitchell Clark, was critically injured in the crash. The 17-year-old driver from Parker was arrested and taken to a juvenile detention facility on suspicion of vehicular homicide.
