ATHENS, Maine (AP) - Authorities say the operator of an all-terrain vehicle has been flown to a hospital colliding with a jeep in Athens.

Fire Chief Travis Thompson says the accident was reported just before 3 p.m. Monday on a private road.

He tells the Morning Sentinel (https://bit.ly/1ClQIl7 ) that the vehicles met at a corner and hit each other.

The name of the driver was not made public, but Thompson said it was a woman. There were no other injuries reported.
