SEATTLE (AP) - Police say a 24-year-old man died after shootout in downtown Seattle, and the second gunman managed to flee.

Authorities say officers near the area known as the Denny Triangle heard numerous gunshots. They rushed to the scene and found an armed man who had been shot multiple times.

Officers saw a vehicle fleeing, and investigators are questioning the occupant as a possible witness.

Investigators are also trying to determine whether a fight in a parking lot next to the scene of the shooting is related. A second person was taken the hospital after being attacked by a group of people.
