PORT ALLEN, La. (AP) - Two men have died after their car rear-ended a tow truck early Saturday morning.

State Troopers say 31-year-old Michael R. Fornea of Baton Rouge was driving a 2003 Acura TL eastbound on U.S. 190 between Erwinville and Port Allen when he hit the tow truck just before 1:30 a.m. Both Fornea and his passenger, 27-year-old Jesse L. Gaudin of Gonzales, suffered fatal injuries despite wearing seat belts. Investigators suspect Fornea was speeding. They have also submitted a blood sample to be analyzed for alcohol and drugs.

Donnie Snoke of Washington, the 41-year-old driver of the tow truck, was uninjured.
