ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta is set to host the taping of the BET Hip-Hop Awards.

The network is holding its ninth annual awards show on Saturday at the Boisfeuillet (BOH’-fihl-ay) Jones Atlanta Civic Center.

Rapper Drake received the most nominations with eight. Jay Z, Pharrell and Future each scored six nominations; Nicki Minaj, Rich Homie Quan and YG earned five nods apiece.

Rap veteran Snoop Dogg returns as host and is expected to perform during the show, which airs Oct. 14.

Rapper Doug E. Fresh will be honored with “I Am Hip-Hop Icon” awards for the achievements in his career. He’s known for classic hits such as “La Di Da Di” and “The Show.”
