GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - The Green Bay Packers franchise is gobbling up more land around Lambeau Field.

Brown County real estate records show the business entity created by the Packers, Green Bay Development, has purchased a strip shopping center for $725,000.

The team plans to develop land west of Lambeau Field to generate non-football revenue. So far, the Packers’ only development is the Cabela’s outdoor sporting goods store near the Highway 41 interchange.

Press-Gazette Media (https://gbpg.net/1swpOPn ) says the team now owns about 62 acres near Lambeau Field. The land is assessed at about $45 million.

In addition to the land west of the stadium, the Packers own property south of Lambeau where it razed about a dozen houses.
