MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Gov. Peter Shumlin has released his personal financial information following media requests.

Shumlin, who is running for re-election, declared more than $700,000 in income - nearly half of it from real estate - on his 2013 federal tax return, the Burlington Free Press reported (https://bfpne.ws/1scpI5k).

Shumlin’s salary as governor is listed at $128,639. He also listed $10.3 million in assets, including 16 properties.

Republican challenger Scott Milne said Friday that he plans to release his financial records on Oct. 15 and Libertarian Dan Feliciano said he would release his soon.

Shumlin’s assets include a Cape Breton, Nova Scotia property valued at $182,000, land in Dominica valued at $20,000 and a farm in Westminster valued at $432,100, the newspaper reported. He lists a total of $6.4 million in investments. He also lists five vehicles - including a 1964 Porsche valued at $55,000 - farm equipment and a boat, for a total value of $128,300.

He released his financial information during his previous campaigns for governor, in 2010 and 2012.
