SEYMOUR, Tenn. (AP) - A woman in eastern Tennessee has been charged with being an accessory after the fact in the slaying of her father-in-law.

The Mountain Press reported (https://bit.ly/1p6e9Wq ) that April Gregory was arrested Friday after being indicted by a grand jury in Seymour.

Police say April Gregory assisted her mother, Belinda Gregory, by lying to detectives about what happened leading up to the death of Donald Gregory on Jan. 30, 2013.

Belinda Gregory has been charged with first-degree murder in the case and has pleaded not guilty.

Detective Matthew Cubberley says April Gregory changed her story about the events from the day of the shooting to a second story told in July 2013.
