HAYNEVILLE, Ala. (AP) - The trial for a man accused of killing 9-year-old twins and their caretaker has been delayed again.

Deandra Marquis Lee was supposed to go on trial on capital murder charges Oct. 14 in Lowndes County, but Circuit Court Judge Terri Bozeman Lovell postponed it at the request of defense attorneys. They said they needed more time to prepare and their expert witnesses couldn’t be ready. The judge did not set a new date.

The trial was originally set for April, but had been delayed to October at the request of the defense.

Lee has pleaded not guilty in the 2012 shooting deaths of twins Jordan and Taylor Dejerinett of Montgomery and 73-year-old Jack Mac Girdner of Hope Hull.
