WINFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Authorities say a woman from Tennessee and a young Missouri boy have died in a nearly head-on crash in eastern Missouri’s Lincoln County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened Saturday night when the sport utility vehicle that 42-year-old Shanna Cook, of Millington, Tennessee, was driving crossed the center line. The SUV then collided with an oncoming minivan.

The patrol says the crash killed Cook and 1-year-old Parker Mantia, of Winfield, who was inside the minivan. The patrol says the minivan’s 22-year-old male driver and a 21-year-old female passenger were flown to a hospital in Creve Coeur in serious condition.
